About Wrights Landscapes Group
A specialist soft landscaping subcontractor, built since 2016 around repeat work for housebuilders and main contractors.
Wrights Landscapes Group Ltd is a commercial soft landscaping subcontractor based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. The company was founded in 2016 by managing director Ed Wright and works across London, Hertfordshire and the South East of England.
We install and maintain the soft landscaping element of construction projects: plot and garden landscaping on housing developments, public open space and communal landscaping, large-scale planting and tree planting, commercial turfing and seeding, podium and roof planting, and the maintenance periods that follow. We work business-to-business, as a subcontractor, and we do not undertake domestic garden work.
The business has grown on repeat work. Most of what we do in a given year is for clients we worked for the year before, which is the only durable way to build a subcontracting business and the reason we would rather flag a specification problem at tender stage than discover it at final account.
How we are set up
We run our own directly employed operatives rather than working purely through labour-only supply, which is what allows us to hold multiple concurrent sites and to respond to plot releases at short notice. Procurement runs through established nursery and turf supply relationships in the UK and across Europe, which matters most when a programme calls for volume stock in a busy planting season.
A separate Grounds Maintenance Division handles maintenance periods, aftercare and standalone maintenance contracts, so that establishment works are not competing for resource with installation.
Accreditation and compliance
Wrights Landscapes Group is Constructionline Gold and CHAS accredited. We work under principal contractors' site rules and CDM 2015 duties, provide project-specific RAMS, and can supply full PQQ documentation, insurance certificates, method statements and training records on request.
